You keep ownership

You retain all rights in the photos, captions and titles you upload. We claim no ownership of your content at any point.

The licence you give us

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, resize, crop, colour-manage, lay out, render into a print file and print your content — solely to provide the service and fulfil your orders. This licence ends when you delete the content, apart from copies we must retain in backups for a short period or in order records where the law requires it.

What we will not do

• We will not use your photos in marketing without asking you first, in writing.
• We will not sell your photos or licence them to anyone else.
• We will not use your photos to train AI models.

Your warranties

You confirm that you own or have permission to use every photo you upload, that you have any consents needed from people shown in them, and that printing the content will not infringe anyone's rights or break the law.

AI-generated covers

Cover artwork you generate in the builder is produced by a third-party AI model from your prompt. Subject to that provider's terms, you are free to use the resulting artwork on your book. AI output can be similar for similar prompts and may not be eligible for copyright protection in some countries.

Deleting your content

You can delete a book or individual photos at any time in the builder, and request full account deletion at hello@photobook.photo. Deleted files are removed from live storage promptly and purged from backups within 30 days. Books already in production cannot be recalled.
