Four things that make a pet book better
Get low
Photos taken at your pet's eye level print far better than photos looking down at them. If you're picking between two shots, take the lower angle.
Keep the crop loose
Leave a little space around your pet in the original photo. It gives you room to reposition the shot inside the page frame later.
Mix wide with close
Alternate a full-page portrait with a wider scene — the field, the sofa, the beach. It gives the book rhythm instead of twenty head shots in a row.
Order by time, not by favourite
Chronological books read like a story. Save the very best photo for the cover instead of putting it on page one.

Questions people ask
How many photos do I need for a pet photo book?
The minimum is 24 photos — one per page. Most people end up somewhere between 30 and 60 once they start going through the camera roll.
Can I make a book for more than one pet?
Yes. Plenty of people build a book per pet, and others give each animal their own run of pages in a single book. Two photos per page works well for pairs who are always together.
Will my phone photos be sharp enough?
Almost always. Photos from any recent phone print cleanly at these sizes. Very old, heavily zoomed or screenshotted images are the ones to avoid.
Can I put my pet's name on the cover?
Yes. Choose a cover photo or a plain colour, then add their name in one of five typefaces. The back cover carries a small line of our own text and nothing else.
How long does it take to arrive?
Books go to print as soon as your order is paid, and delivery times depend on where you are. You'll get an email with tracking when it ships.
