Terms of service
These terms form the agreement between you and The PhotoBook Co. (“we”, “us”) when you use photobook.photo to design and order printed photo books.
1. Who we are
The PhotoBook Co. operates photobook.photo. You can reach us any time at hello@photobook.photo. If you have a question about an order, that is the fastest route to a human.
2. Your account
You need an account to build and order a book. You must give accurate details, keep your login secure, and you are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Creating a book
You choose the photos, the size and the binding. We lay them out automatically and show you a preview before you order. The preview is an accurate representation, but small differences in colour, crop and trim are normal in printing — see clause 6.
4. Orders and acceptance
- Placing an order is an offer to buy; we accept it when we confirm production.
- Because every book is printed uniquely for you, we begin production shortly after confirmation and cannot usually change or cancel it after that point.
- If we cannot fulfil an order (for example a file fault or a print issue), we will tell you and either reprint or refund in full.
5. Prices
Prices are shown before you order and include the product, print and any applicable tax unless stated otherwise at checkout. Shipping is shown separately. We may change prices at any time, but never for an order already confirmed.
6. Print tolerances
Printed colour can vary slightly from a backlit screen, and pages are trimmed with a small tolerance (typically up to 3 mm). Content placed very close to the page edge may be cropped. Variations within these tolerances are not defects.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us a limited licence to process and print them, as set out in our content terms. You confirm you have the right to use every image you upload.
8. Acceptable use
You must not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content. Our acceptable use policy forms part of these terms and we may refuse or cancel any order that breaches it.
9. Delivery and returns
Delivery timescales and carriers are described in our shipping policy. Your rights where a book arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect are set out in our returns policy.
10. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
11. Service availability
We aim to keep the service running smoothly but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw features, and we may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
12. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the version in force when you order is the one that applies. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
