Four things that make a newborn book better
Include hands and feet
Close-ups of fingers, toes and the hospital tag date the book better than any caption. Fill the frame with them.
Keep the honest ones
The 3am face, the unmade bed, the mountain of muslins. In five years those pages will be the ones you stop on.
Get both parents in
Whoever takes the photos is missing from the book. Deliberately swap the phone over a few times.
Don't wait for a perfect edit
Save progress as you go and finish it over a few naps. A printed decent book beats a perfect unfinished one.

Can I include scan photos?
Yes. Photograph the scan print flat in daylight and crop the edges — they reproduce well on the page.
Should I wait until the first birthday?
You don't have to. Many people make a newborn book covering the first weeks, then a separate first-year book later.
How many photos do I need?
One photo per page as a minimum: 24 pages. You can go well beyond that, and you can put two photos on a page whenever a moment needs a pair.
Will photos from my phone print well?
Yes. Anything from a recent phone prints cleanly at these sizes. The only images to avoid are screenshots, heavily zoomed shots and pictures saved from messaging apps at low quality.
How long does delivery take?
Your book goes to print as soon as the order is paid. Delivery time depends on where you are, and you'll get an email with tracking as soon as it ships.
