Ask other people for photos
You'll be surprised what siblings, old friends and colleagues have. A short message asking for one or two favourites usually brings in the best material.
Copy old prints with your phone
Lay the print flat in daylight, avoid flash and shadows, and photograph it straight on. Crop to the edges afterwards.
Keep the pages plain
One photo per page, no clutter. Restraint suits a memorial book far better than dense collages.

Save your progress and come back to it. There's no deadline, and it's often easier in short sittings.

Questions people ask
Are older, lower-quality photos usable?
Usually yes. Scanned or phone-photographed prints print well at these sizes, and slight softness looks natural in an older photograph.
Can I add a name and dates to the cover?
Yes. Choose a plain cover colour or a single photograph, then add their name in one of five typefaces.
How many photos do I need?
One photo per page as a minimum: 24 pages. You can go well beyond that, and you can put two photos on a page whenever a moment needs a pair.
Will photos from my phone print well?
Yes. Anything from a recent phone prints cleanly at these sizes. The only images to avoid are screenshots, heavily zoomed shots and pictures saved from messaging apps at low quality.
How long does delivery take?
Your book goes to print as soon as the order is paid. Delivery time depends on where you are, and you'll get an email with tracking as soon as it ships.
